Marigold socks
Pattern: Marigold socks by Pamela Wynne of Flint Knits
Yarn: Piece of Beauty bluefaced sock yarn in Sweet Grass
Needles: Addi turbo 2mm supalong (to do the toes) and a mix of DPNs Sox Stix 2.25mm, Knit Picks 2.25mm and 2.75mm
Gauge: didn’t measure
Dimensions: to fit my foot (UK 6, US 8.5) and 9″ tall
Note: The reason for so many needle changes is 1. I knit toe up and like to start on a long circular 2. I was flying when I started these and took the wooden Sox Stix on the plane and then switched to the KP metal DPNs 3. I got so much mileage out of the socks, instead of figuring out how to increase in the pattern I just went up a couple needle sizes so that the socks would fit over my calves. Loved this pattern — so easy to remember and it goes pretty quick. Oh and I did an upside down heel flap since I knit toe up.
