Knits

So it’s become clear that I will definitely need two more balls of Noro Silk Garden for my cardigan. Hrmph. I was in London yesterday and on the off chance that the shop I bought said yarn from MIGHT still have some in the same dyelot, I stopped by. They didn’t even have the colourway so no luck. I’ve posted on a number of forums and emailed a yarn shop to find out if they have it. Anyone out there with Noro Silk Garden colour 241 dyelot B have two balls they’d sell or trade? I really don’t want a cropped cardigan.

As always, things are moving slowly, but I do hope to make some progress this weekend and maybe even knit a hat. The weather has already kicked into winter I swear to god. I’m pretty sure I didn’t need my heat at this time last year and the temps weren’t threatening frost either.

You know those new Knit Picks Harmony needles? The dyed wooden ones? Well, I’m sorry to say this, but I think they are absolutely hideous looking. They are seriously ugly and look like something I would’ve loved when I was 8 or 9 when everything cool was rainbow coloured. For some reason the dyed colours just look cheap and tacky to me. They remind me of those souvenir pencils you get at children’s museums that have different coloured lead (and I mean all the different colours in one lead, not the interchangeable kind). I would’ve preferred if they just made different sizes a single colour instead of making it unicorn puke. Such a shame too because they are so pointy looking. Looking at the page with the DPNs actually makes my eyes go funny.

Right. Back to doing whatever I was doing.
