Inventory
For someone who has only recently started knitting (soon I’ll have to stop saying that, but I just don’t feel advanced enough yet), I have a lot of yarn. A LOT. I decided to take some photos of the yarn… or at least most of it that I’ve bought. I have a stash of odds and ends in addition to large amounts of particular yarn that I wouldn’t have picked out myself, but I asked some kind people for needles and yarn to get myself going and practising. I didn’t photograph that yarn or even some bits of the yarn that I’ve bought. I need to make a full list, but here’s my most recent purchases…
Row 1: Pictures 1 & 2 - Rowan Polar in Silver lining, Smirk, Lettuce, Blackforest, & Zucchini (I actually have a couple more balls of this attached to needles!) — Pictures 3, 4 & 5 - Lana Grossa Point Print in shade 505 for a lightweight jumper
Row 2: Pictures 1, 2 & 3 - Lana Grossa Rotondo in shade 27 (green) & Lana Grossa Binario Uni in shade 12 (cream/gold) for Glampyre’s Bad Penny — Pictures 4 & 5 - Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Chunky in shades 07 (fuschia), 10 (turquoise), 11 (lighter blue), & 12 (green) - shade 10 is currently being made into a hat for my sister.
Row 3: Picture 1 - Sirdar Snuggly in shade 395 for breast cancer ribbons — Picture 2 - Lana Grossa Bingo in shade 07 — Pictures 3 & 4 - NuMei Bella in Bleached Sand for the Shimmer shrug — Picture 5 - NuMei Montage in Caribbean for a shell/tanktop.
Row 4: Picture 1 - Same as picture 5 above – Pictures 2 & 3 - NuMei Silk Haze in shades 02 (Indigo), 03 (Avocado), & 05 (Ivory) some of it for a mini-Clapotis — Picture 4 - Rowan Rowanspun Chunky shade 980 (green) — Picture 5 - Debbie Bliss Maya in shade 10
A lot of it doesn’t have projects attached as I bought it as a real novice ’cause I thought it was pretty or because I did a very bad job at determining a substitute yarn for a pattern. Some of I still only bought because it was pretty (e.g. much of the NuMei Silk Haze - I saw that Avocado colour and had to have it!!). As I said, some yarn is missing and I haven’t included counts although in these pictures most of it is seen. I’m going to make a proper inventory because I’m a nerd like that.
