Knitted kitty II
I actually knitted this kitty back in February when I helped my boyfriend move his stuff from Southampton, UK to Munich, Germany. We drove from Southampton to Brussels and then to Munich. I had even sewed most of it up and stuffed it back in February, but then other things happened - family things and moving mostly. I made it for my friends that live in Brussels and since I was going to be visiting them over the Easter weekend, I needed to finish it. So that I did. I didn’t put a face on it as I’m just not very good at that part and my friend is much better.
This kitty is large. The intention was to be a life-size-ish version, but the proportions were off despite following the pattern just as before. Oh well. It’s got it’s own sort of character, right? The main thing I would change is the needle size I used. I used the recommended size on the yarn band and I think I could’ve gone down one or two sizes to make the fabric more cohesive as it is so stretchy that when stuffed, you can see the stuffing which isn’t very cute.
The details:
Yarn: Sirdar DenimUltra in shades 0636 (Walnut) and 0508 (Ivory cream)
Needles: US15 (10mm)
Tension / gauge: (in stockinette) 9 sts x 12 rows

I’ve also never knitted anything for anyone other than my sister. Okay that’s not entirely true, I knit that giant cat for my friend. [...]
