First completed knitted object

Knitted kitty - greyJust for the sake of saying, I am doing some backdated entries of things I’ve completed or things I started, but haven’t completed. I just want a chronological history of my progress and projects.

Now that I’ve got that out of the way, here’s my first complete knitted object - a small toy cat.

I got the pattern from a LiveJournal community. It’s a bit wonky and I had difficulty sewing the pieces together (not individually, but to make the cat whole). The head really isn’t on very well, but I got a bit rushed and bored in trying to put it together so I didn’t quite care.

I took it home with me to the States to give to my mommy - she said it was a bit scary and has let the cats play with it. Oh well.
It’s a really quick and easy pattern to do although I think part of the wonkiness of mine turned out to be that I still hadn’t got this knitting thing down yet and I always knitted into the back of the stitch which meant when I did my increase/decrease stitches the right way (I had to look at instructions) that made things wonky. That’s purely conjecture and my excuse. Don’t spoil it.

The details:
Yarn: Unknown as it was yarn I had bought 3 years ago when I tried to learn to knit, but it’s a wool/acrylic blend in charcoal grey
Needles: US6 (4mm)
Tension / gauge: I’ll get back to you on that
